Maya submitted this photo with the comment “This was the London netgoth picnic at Golders Green/Hampstead Heath, summer 1996. I realize that only three of us are in the tree, and that the photo would have been vastly improved by having us all up-tree, but I seem to remember coaxing the others in vain. (I hope I may at least merit some points for being the highest-treed goth in the tableau.)”
Hooray! This photo wins the prize for largest number of people in one shot yet. It doesn’t win the prize for the most Goths up one tree but I enjoy a massive supporting cast and what a supporting cast it is! OK, this photo is a teeny bit fuzzy, but we can get a general idea of what’s going on. The camera can’t focus because there’s too much awesomeness in one photo!
There’s quite a lot of smiling going on here from the supporting cast. The goths up the tree look quite solemn (perhaps because they couldn’t encourage everyone else to get up the tree). It is daylight and I thought that the netgoths would be happier to be picnicking at night time, but never mind. Extra points to Maya for being the highest in the tree and looking a bit like she’s hanging.
4.2 out of 5 - Too many netgoths spoil the camera focus.
