porphyriasuicide submitted this photo with the comment “New Orleans is like a Goth mecca, I made the pilgrimage. Here I am at Oak Alley Plantation (Where a scene was shot for the film adaption of Anne Rice’s Book Interview with a Vampire) I’m sitting on a Oak tree that is believed to be over 300 years old.”
This photo is taken in the garden at Louis’ house from the Interview with a Vampire movie! Fantastique! Apparently a scene from Days of Our Lives was also filmed there with Bo and Hope.  It is not weird that I know those characters, I swear - I spent quite a bit of time watching DoOL when I was at Uni for some reason. I was probably partaking in extreme procrastination. Shut up. I got my Degree with Honours in spite of my DoOL watching - I studied a Bachelor of Goth Arborification.
This blue-haired goff isn’t terribly high up the tree; in fact, she looks barely off the ground.  I can not deny, however, that she is sitting on a live tree branch therefore she qualifies as being a Goth up a tree.  She doesn’t look happy, more contemplative. It’s daylight but bonus points for being at a place of Gothical significance (yes, I made that word up).
4 out of 5 - Get thee to a place of Gothical significance and stop watching Days of Our Lives.
