Firstly let me thank you for featuring my post on your website, and for supporting “Get Vince the goth up a tree”. It is thanks to your endorsement that what started as a small gaggle of workmates and friends, grew into a 70 strong community fleshed out with full on Internet weirdos from all over the globe. As such, the facebook group succeeded in it’s mission, and I can now report success. I took a number of photographs of Vince up a tree with the required goth bait (busty goth wench, pizza, and Jagermeister), and submitted them to the group, who voted on their favourite snap. As per your wishes, the photograph features pizza, no smiling, and dramatic posing alongside the usual requirement of goth(s) up trees.

So, my fine Goths up trees appreciators, this glorious photo is the fruit of workplace pestering, cajoling and bribery that grew to world-wide pestering of a Goth named Vince to get up a tree for a photo.  VICTORY.  I’ll admit that this one was bumped up the queue but I felt it deserved it in the circumstances. Let me extol the virtues of this photo:

1. beautiful spooky venue complete with reflected trees in the water and fantastic lighting;
2. two fine Goths consuming pizza and Jägermeister (sustenance of Goth royalty);
3. no smiling;
4. very clearly night time;
5. apparently reasonably high up the tree. James drew a very beautiful picture to explain the adversity they overcame to get this shot and the actual height of the Goths up the tree (apparently no one was wearing pants at the time and James has a semi-deflated balloon for a hand).
6. Vince is wearing suspicious looking gloves and is positively scowling at Aileen.  I’m guessing he was annoyed that Aileen got to eat some of his precious pizza and planned to do something depraved after the photo was taken.  We know Aileen had a sore leg at the time and wouldn’t have been able to run away.
